PILA RUSJAN: Mapiranje spomina 1999-2011

Pila
Rusjan deluje kot umetnica na področjih performansa, instalacije in
videa. Študirala je na European Film College na Danskem ter leta 2010
diplomirala na Visoki šoli za umetnost Univerze v Novi Gorici. Umetniške
rezidence in potovanja vključujejo Kirgizijo, Brazilijo, Veliko
Britanijo, Avstrijo in v letu 2012 Tajvan. Njena dela so bila
predstavljena na mnogih mednarodnih festivalih sodobnih umetnosti (Mesto
žensk, Sarajevska zima, AKTO), v sklopu video kolekcij ArtFem.tv, ECVP
ter DIVA pa potujejo po svetovnih prizoriščih. V letu 2011 je bila
nominirana za nagradi OHO in ESSL. Samostojno se je predstavila v
galerijah Ganes Pratt in Pop Planet v Ljubljani ter v galeriji Castanho
Claro na Koroški cesti 18 v Mariboru. Performanse in intervencije je
izvedla v Hyde parku v Londonu, na ulicah Bitole in São Paula, v Mali
galeriji in na zapuščenem Kopališču Kolezija ter v svojem stanovanju na
Trnovem v Ljubljani. Njene fotografske instalacije Mapiranje spomina so
bile z vedno novo zgodbo prikazovane med leti 2007-09. Namesto osebnih
spominov pa je umetnica tokrat v obliko večmedijske spominske mape
zapakirala lastna dela in dokumentacijo.

Rusjan works in fields of performance, installation and video art. She
studied at European Film College in Denmark and graduated at School of
Arts, University of Nova Gorica, Slovenia in 2010. Art residences and
travels include Kyrgyzstan, Brazil, Great Britain, Austria and Taiwan in
2012. Her works had been exhibited at festivals of contemporary arts
(City of Women, Sarajevo Winter, AKTO) and are being shown in various
venues around the world through ArtFem.tv, ECVP and DIVA collections. In
2011, she was nominated for ESSL and OHO Awards for young artists. She
has had solo exhibitions in Ganes Pratt, Pop Planet and Castanho Claro
galleries. Performances and interventions took place in Hyde Park
London, streets of Bitola and São Paulo, various venues, including her
own apartment, in Ljubljana. Her site-specific photographic
Mapping-the-Memory installations have been presented regularily during
years 2007-09 and are in this exhibition being reformed into a
multimedia memory map of her own works and documentations.
